About

A creative company specialising in the build to finish and install of scenic elements, complete sets, displays and props. Able to work from initial ideas, technical drawings and plans, we also offer consultancy on how to execute any ideas big or small.

Although a young company, Becks and Charlie – founders and managing directors, have over 19 years’ worth of industry experience between them working as freelancers and employees, creating, building, installing and assisting for a number of high end commercial projects as well as well known theatre productions in the West End and around the world.

Their joint skills range from carpentry, metal work fabrication, fabric work and soft prop making to sculpting, moulding, casting and finishing. Becks’ experience as an interior/set decorator, prop maker and scenic painter has given her the opportunities to focus on familiarising with various materials and paints as well as different techniques, honing her practice with attention to detail. Her background and continuous studies in arts and design makes her conscious on the importance of design and working on how best to achieve them. Charlie’s experience makes him familiar with onsite installations and practice. He has travelled around the world, usually as part of a team, working at different and sometimes challenging spaces. In the workshop he puts his attention to metal fabrication and woodwork after obtaining his practice and passion from his technical theatre background. Alongside them they are fortunate to have a talented list of makers and artists – met within the industry, that come and freelance on projects when needed.

As a company, Harbour Scenic have been very fortunate to produce for high end brands and clients. It has been a very exciting start and the continued focus is to ensure clients will be happy with a personal and professional service, providing you with experienced advice from initial ideas and renders into development for production to finishing with a quality product.
